Educate Tejas provides in-person professional development, consulting, and student workshops that enhance educator capacity, foster cultural proficiency, and promote interdisciplinary excellence. All sessions are delivered face-to-face, with customized supplemental materials available online to support program participants in deepening their learning and implementing the program content.

Meet the Chief Learning Ally

Matthew Cafiero, Sr.

Matthew, the Founder and Chief Learning Ally of Educate Tejas, is a veteran educator with over 20 years of experience in AP, IB, and college instruction. Currently, he is an Adjunct Professor of Humanities, English, and Political Science at Paul Quinn College in Dallas, Texas.

His background includes work with Dallas ISD, Richardson ISD, Uplift Charters, and Lancaster ISD. A specialist in interdisciplinary learning, culturally responsive pedagogy, and wellness-based education, Matthew founded Educate Tejas to share best-practice instruction with teachers and students across North Texas.

All sessions are delivered face-to-face at your campus, conference, or event site. Participants receive access to supplemental digital resources—rubrics, handouts, lesson plans, templates, and more—through our online portal.

Our on-site, student-facing workshops are designed for classrooms, bridge programs, or enrichment days. Learning Ally facilitators provide exciting and enthusiastic, integrated, culturally aware, and multidisciplinary hands-on learning events that include lectures, media, and collaborative small-group learning. They are standards-aligned and designed for peak engagement.
